Despite good location & friendly staff, the lack of Wi-Fi and advertised services was disappointing
4.0I really liked the hotel's convenient location, with excellent transport connections to central London and plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. Despite that, the area is generally very quiet. The only exception was one morning when tree branches were being cut in the nearby park. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always willing to accommodate guests' needs.
− The Wi-Fi in my room had no internet access throughout my entire stay. Every day I asked the reception staff to resolve the issue. They were understanding and polite, but I was never able to use the internet in my room. Despite my written messages to the hotel, nothing changed. It was only on the second-to-last day of my stay that a receptionist informed me there was nothing they could do about the problem. Booking.com was also informed and contacted the hotel on my behalf, but the hotel was unwilling to reach an agreement or offer a solution. As a result, I had no internet access in my room for the duration of my stay. In addition, the advertised breakfast was nowhere to be found. This was also the first time I truly experienced what "low water pressure" in a hotel means. Before staying here, I never understood why some guests mentioned it in their reviews. Now I do. The water pressure was so low that taking a normal shower was difficult, and I now understand how important adequate water pressure is for a comfortable stay.
