6.0There must be a special level of hell for poor hotel room designers. The room is very basic with minimal amenities. Shower had only body wash and shampoo; no hair conditioners, body lotion, or shower caps. The mirror is on the wall at a right angle to the sink; the magnifying face mirror is set at the proper height for a tall man. On either side of the modern, very shallow sink is a scant six inches of space for your toiletry bag. Clearly, no one thought that women might stay here. There are no outlets to plug in your phone by the bed, only on the desk on the other side of the room. The overpriced breakfast buffet 21£ is very mediocre. Go down the street one block to the Rise and Dine cafe for a full English breakfast for half the price. Because the room was booked through a travel agency we were not able acquire any Accor Hotel points (which certainly doesn’t happen with Hilton or Marriott). The room itself was otherwise adequate but you can do better.
