Perfect Location, Wonderful Staff, Great Stay
10.0My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Albus Boutique Hotel. The location was perfect, close enough to walk to most things we wanted to see, and quiet enough to get a great night’s sleep. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in while travelling. Everything just felt easy and welcoming. If we’re back in Amsterdam, we wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. Highly recommended!
Great location for your stay in Amsterdam
10.0Location close to plenty of eateries, cafes, trams & the beautiful flower markets. Staff very friendly & helpful. Particular mention of Raymond & Julia on reception who we had most contact with. Bar bites were good when we didn’t feel like walking anywhere! Rooms were compact, but comfortable & clean. Good shower, wi fi & BBC on tv! Safe was handy.
− Nothing. Everything was great!
A Fabulous Apartment But Lack Lustre Reception Staff
8.0The Hotel is lovely and the apartment(s) are annexed along side the Hotel so it has an external entry for the apartment(s). The apartment has been recently refurbished and is well kitted out. The bathroom is lovely and the bedroom is comfortable. I arrived in early and was able to store my luggage and sort out the bill etc - with complimentary coffee whilst I was doing that. The morning reception staff were brilliant. I headed out for the day and returned to have an issue with check-in that was initially handled very badly by the reception staff on in the afternoon but got a satisfactory response the next morning after emailing management overnight. I had an issue with delayed check-in by 75 minutes with poor communication and lack of concern for the impact the delay was having on my evening plans. I found the reception staff dismissive and not very friendly. It was looked into by management the next morning - despite the reception staff telling me no management would be onsite until Monday which as it turns out was not the case. I was given the briefest of orientations to the apartment and hotel facilities, just told everything was on the QR code - it wasn't. This was remedied the next day by management. If management had not stepped in, I'd have rated this stay lower. It most definitely impacted on my experience of staying here. The management were excellent. The breakfast is good and the cook hilarious and very attentive. Otherwise the staff in the hotel were fabulous. The stairs to the apartment are quite steep and narrow which is tricky to navigate if you are carrying luggage and when you are walking down them. Oh and the washing machine was difficult to get to work as the door had an issue. Kudos to the management who got onto this immediately.
