Location, renovated bathrooms

− There was no closet in the apartment; we didn’t consider the crossbar in the living room, along with a coat hanger and two wire hangers left over from dry cleaning, to be one. The water wouldn’t drain from the sinks in the bathrooms; they need to be cleaned. The bedroom lacked blackout curtains for a peaceful night’s sleep; the current curtains aren’t suitable, and a mosquito net would also be essential, as there were an excessive number of mosquitoes buzzing around at night. Although the apartment has two balconies, one still had dirty renovation materials on it, and the other had a table and a broken chair, but at least you could sit out there. Our experience in Venice was significantly marred by the fact that the air conditioner in the penthouse apartment wasn’t working when we arrived; they weren’t able to fix it until the next day, so our first day and night were all about survival. A practical tip: climbing five flights of stairs would be more comfortable with a bottle of water.

The location was perfect.

− We were on the top floor, 80 steps, narrow staircase, difficult with luggage. Air conditioning wasn’t working, had to open windows, which allowed for Miskitos causing a very uncomfortable stay. The photos online are misleading.
