Cancelled 5 days before stay and during the HS tour

2.0

We booked months ago for the upcoming Harry styles tour. We’ve stayed here before and Always really enjoyed it. On the Monday before the show on the Friday we just recieved an email To say that they’ve cancelled our reservation and can no longer host us. After they had taken the money for it as well. We tried ringing numerous times but all the phones were just saying “not availible” It’s not ideal when now we’ve had to pay triple the money as the concert is so close and we’re going to have to wait for the refund for the hotel as well as having to fork out again for another one. Really disappointed 😔😔

Booked this hotel 10mths for a concert at Wembley in a few weeks, They have cancelled our room with no reason absolutely shocking !!! Now the stress of trying to find another room this late notice will be near impossible thanks for ruining my daughters bday present that she was super excited for, I believe I’ve not been the only one we should get compensation!!!!

Cancelled the booking with no reason

Booked this hotel with Booking.com 6 months ago. Just received a cancellation from them saying they no longer partner with them. All hotels in the area are now ridiculously priced. No answer from the hotel, no offer of a new hotel from Booking.com.

Check the hotel is not closed before booking!

2.0

I can't provide a full review, but I booked this hotel through Booking.com. When I tried to call the hotel to enquire about parking, the number was unavailable. I then asked GPT if the hotel was still operating, and it returned several reviews on other platforms mentioning that guests arrived "to find the hotel closed at arrival" without prior notification. There were also complaints about poor communication regarding closures. As a result, I decided to cancel my reservation through Booking.com and have emailed them because I believe that if this hotel is indeed closed, it should be indicated on their platform. Fortunately, I did not prepay for the hotel and was able to book another one.

Awful experience - hotel closed without sending notice to customers

2.0

IMPORTANT: The Hotel is closed for unknown time period and reasons! If you have a future reservation, reach out to the travel agency you booked your stay from and discuss your options and alternatives. We placed our reservation on 19 Jan 2026 via Booking.com and the Hotel even messaged me to inform me about the 100 £ deposit due upon check-in. We arrived in London on 27th of May 2026 and travelled to the hotel in order to leave our luggage. We were in front of the hotel at about 09:00. We found the main entrance of the hotel locked, the door being supported by 2 wooden blocks and a lot of dry leaves in the corridor. The building looked abandoned and not well maintained. However, the lights on the reception desk were still on. The whole situation was pretty strange, but we initially assumed that maybe we are the only guests at the moment and the staff has not arrived yet. Due to the fact that we had some plans scheduled for the day, I decided to call the hotel and check what is going on. I tried initially the number listed in Booking.com - switched off. I then tried another number I found in Google - no answer. I immediately reached out to the support of Booking.com. They also tried and failed to contact the hotel via phone. They explained the procedure to me: they have to send a message to the hotel and wait 45 mins for a response. If such is not received, they can cancel the reservation free of charge and offer alternative accommodation. Of course, the Hotel dis not respond to their inquiry and the reservation was cancelled. Later on, I checked reviews online and found out that the hotel has been closed since March 2026 for emergency maintenance. No such notice was sent to us via email, nor was displayed on the entrance of the hotel. The hotel failed to inform us that it is closed and would not be able to accommodate us. It is outrageous and unacceptable to treat customers in such manner. It is very stressful experience to find yourself in such big city full of tourists and to not have a place to stay. I am glad we managed to find an alternative accommodation. I do not recommend this hotel. The attitude towards their customers is unacceptable! Cancelling the reservations and sending a notification would take them no more than 10-15 mins.

IT’S CLOSED BUT NO ONE WILL TELL YOU!

2.0

We arrived here on Sat 25th April to find it very clearly closed and not been open for the past week, judging by other reviews!! Booking.com must’ve known this if others had told them and the hotel obviously knew what bookings they had coming up, yet we received no notification. Trying to find another hotel at 2pm the same day, on the London Marathon and FA Cup semi-finals weekend at such short notice and not pay a crazy amount of money was a feat in itself. So would clearly not recommend this hotel and actually it makes me think twice about using Booking.com as well. The best part was they took our money the Wednesday before we stayed which we can hopefully get back, but having to do that as well as the fact we paid considerably more for a new hotel marred our lovely weekend away.
