I had a wonderful stay at Sweets Wiebrug. The location alone makes it special — right on the water, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere that still keeps you close to everything Amsterdam has to offer. Waking up to the canals each morning felt like a real treat. The apartment itself is cosy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. It has a unique charm that makes it feel more like an experience than just accommodation. Everything was well maintained, and the space was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly, and check‑in was easy. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the welcoming touches that made the stay feel personal. Overall, Sweets Wiebrug is a lovely place to stay if you want something memorable, comfortable, and authentically Amsterdam. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a special spot in the city.

− The stairs/entry can be narrow or steep, which might be difficult if you have heavy bags. Best idea is to get in first and then come up the fire escape with your bags. But thats the only point , which is to be understandable as the building is so unique.

A very clever place to stay with nice amenities and a great view

We enjoyed the novelty of the control house conversion and learning about the history of that. Nice to watch all the people and road/canal traffic going by too. Having aircon was great considering we were there during a heatwave. Handy to quite a few cafes, shops, restaurants, and the tram stops. The welcome notes and iPad information was a nice touch and useful.

− We were never going to get our big cases up the spiral staircase, but at least there was space at the bottom to store them (and come down to access them when we needed). There was a faint unusual smell but it wasn't too distracting.

− Para acceder al apartamento (Hotel según elllos) hay que subir por una escalera emìnada de caracol estrecha. Mi mujer tenía que acceder por la escalera lateral de la que no te entregan llave. La cama entre tres paredes que para salir de ella tienes que pasar por encima de ella. Los ruidos deel Tranvía no dejan dormir. El lavamanos no se puede utilizar, porque es tan pequeño que te das con el grifo, teniendo que utilizar la fregadera. y pagando por seis noches1.396,67 €

Bed was super comfortable, and despite the windows it felt very private!

− It’s a noisy location, as they disclosed. Also the blinds were complete but black out curtains would have been a bonus
