Great First Stop in Japan

Great location, perfect place to get up early and walk around before all the crowds arrive. Right by many things. We stayed as our first stop on the trip and it works d out perform ct. We had the Ending Suite for our family of 5. Room was kind of tght, but we were in the Tokyo. It had two full baths and two articles as separated by a watermacgine and a refrigerator. Breakfast was wonderful. It changed everyday.

Quiet despite its location

Asakusa is a crowded, crazy place by day but surprising quiet after everyone has left for the evening. I thought we might have trouble with external noise but I forget I'm in Japan and people are very respectful. This is a small hotel, very tiny - we stayed on the 5th floor which had only two rooms on it. The staff are all young and from different parts of the world, but they were very helpful and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable (Jubayer gets a special mention as does Wang). The rooms are small, so we opted for something a bit bigger, a twin room, but we still struggled. The room was L-shaped with a tatami mat area and unfortunately we had to use this area for our suitcases. We knew this was not "correct etiquette" but there was no where else to put them. The bathroom was surprisingly large by comparison, with a full size bathtub, which was welcome after a long day of walking. We had a balcony, so we could open the door and get fresh air. Unfortunately there were no alternatives to their thick winter doonas (quilts/duvets). Even though it was winter, they were way too hot for us. (We had requested blankets, but apparently these quilts are called "blankets" so that request got lost in translation.) The biggest problem for us was the water dispenser - lovely idea to have it in our room but it cycled on and off all night and kept waking us up. We tried to turn it off but there was no off switch and staff were unable to assist for the same reason. Ear plugs weren't enough to block it out. Such a pity to not have the option to switch it off for a proper sleep.

Surprisingly large room by Tokyo standards, we were very pleased with our stay. The lobby is basically a coffee shop and bar, although we were too het lagged to stay up and enjoy a conversation. Breakfast was wonderful.

Great location. Within 5 minutes walk of public transport, dining options, Senso-ji temple. The hotel, though small, is clean and offers a quiet sleep.

The property is located in a very convenient location where you can walk to the stations. We have read many positive reviews about this hotel and happy to say it was one of the top hotels in Japan. Rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. We drank a lot of water and having a water filter inside the room was the best! There are two choices for breakfast, Japanese or English. We got Japanese for two mornings and a bit disappointed that breakfast was the same on both mornings. Food was delicious…albeit if we knew what was being served we would have chose English the next morning. Modern, clean, quiet, convenient -perfect for our stay. Will definitely come back
