Great location in a local, peaceful and safe neighborhood. The charming dated decor was perfect, especially with the magnificent view from our window of the Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque. The place is well equipped with everything in the description. The owner, Mr Abuzer, greeted and welcomed us to his home. He gave us socks as a welcome gift and honored us with delicious Turkish sweets at our arrival. I can honestly say this cozy apartment and its surroundings is a dream. We had planned this trip over a year ago; I even tried learning Turkish, which did help me somewhat to communicate and put a smile on someone's face. Definitely an excellent accomodation option!!

− We had rented this Airbnb for 8 nights with a kitchen, as we always do, as my husband LOVES cooking Mediterranean dishes. To our surprise, on the second day of our stay, our host started complaining about the "terrible, stinking smell of garlic" coming from our cooking. We felt quite uncomfortable - not at ease. 😑So, for the 6 days remaining we stopped cooking altogether and started eating out, which was expensive, had sandwiches, or " cold appetizers without odor" as the owner suggested. Needless to say how unpleasant and awkward this matter became as he kept texting us about the " smell in the building", even though we hadn't cooked anything else! We are a middle-aged couple, tidy and respectful of different cultures, since we've been travelling abroad for years. However, this was the first time we felt uncomfortable at a lodging. I guess, it'll remain as an anecdote of our trip to Istanbul. 🤷🏻

Great location in local, authentic neighbourhood close to shops and restaurants and monuments. Very quiet and peaceful. Incredible view. Spacious and well equipped, if a little quirky but that added to the adventure!

− I didn’t mind the dated decor although recognise that others may. It was scrupulously clean, abundant hot water and a comfy bed.

The house was cozy, neat and beautifully decorated. It had everything I needed. The owner couple upstairs and they are super friendly and helpful. The area felt safe at night, surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants.

Proprietario molto disponibile per ogni cortesia, informazione, persino ci ha portato i bagagli in appartamento. Posizione ottima per raggiungere tutte le attrazioni con i mezzi pubblici e a piedi. Sicuramente torneremo qui.
