Asunnosta löytyi niin astian- kuin pyykinpesuaineet eikä kylpyhuoneestakaan puuttunut mitään. Ihana tervetuliaispaketti odotti myös keittiön pöydällä :) Ympäristö oli erittäin rauhallinen, ja asunto oli hyvien julkisten liikenneyhteyksien varrella.

Wir haben uns in dieser wunderschön und mit viel Liebe eingerichteten Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeberin war herzlich und hat uns mit super Tipps für Amsterdam versorgt - das hat unseren Aufenthalt richtig bereichert. Die Lage ist zwar nicht im Zentrum, aber dank zwei Straßenbahnlinien direkt um die Ecke ist man schnell überall - auch Ausflüge ans Meer sind problemlos mit Bahn und Bus machbar. Der Rembrandtpark liegt quasi vor der Haustür, und auch der Vondelpark ist fußläufig erreichbar. Von dort kann man einen wunderschönen Spaziergang zum Rijksmuseum oder zum Van Gogh Museum machen. Die Wohnung liegt absolut ruhig, was sehr angenehm war. Unsere 16-jährige Tochter hat auf dem Bett im Wohnzimmer übrigens prima geschlafen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

− Einen Hinweis möchten wir Reisenden mitgeben: Der Treppenaufgang ist recht eng und steil. Wer nicht so gut zu Fuß ist, sollte das vorher einplanen.

At the last minute, we booked and ended up getting the best apartment in Amsterdam. First of all, it’s located in a beautiful part of the city—calm, and exactly what you need after long walks, parties, and everything Amsterdam has to offer. The apartment has two comfortable bedrooms, a kitchen equipped down to the smallest detail, and the best part—a balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard. It’s the kind of place where you really get a sense of how locals live, their habits, where they shop, and where they go for their morning coffee. There’s a park just 50 meters away, perfect for relaxing and spending time with friends. And what truly makes this place special is the host, Ester. She welcomed us warmly, but without ever being intrusive—offering great tips about the city, checking if we had everything we needed for breakfast, and leaving small, thoughtful gifts so that after a late flight we didn’t have to rush out to the store or go to bed hungry. It was my first time in Amsterdam, and I wouldn’t change this experience for anything. I feel like I’ve found a place I’ll keep coming back to every time I visit the city. I’m writing this a bit reluctantly—because some great places you kind of want to keep to yourself—but honestly, everyone deserves to meet Ester and experience her beautiful home on the second floor of a red brick building, right next to Rembrandt Park.
