Perfect hide away for a long weekend

8.0We love boats. The wheel house of this vessel was converted to a one room "studio" apartment. Bath and shower was spacious. Views of the canal are fantastic. The location is excellent. It sits off a smaller street that is more quiet. Felt very safe. Grocery is a block away. Expresso machine and coffee provided; cereals too. Some food items are there- suggest you check in before going to grocery. Proprietors are attentive and very friendly. A must is to take a canal tour. Better to rent your own e-boat and take a self guided tour of the canals. 3 hrs is sufficient. Great time- remember to look left and right for bikes- twice! or just close your eyes and walk across on faith and they won't hit you.
− We travel during the heat wave 23-26 June 2026. It was hot! Did I say it was hot?! Suggest you "hide" in the museums in the afternoons- they have a/c, then to a park with your own cool beverage. The studio does cool off when the sun goes down. There is a fan. No fault of the proprietors as the weather is the weather and there is little A/C anywhere.
Light and airy access to river life.
10.0Amazing to be right on the water and part of river life watching the world go by. The studio was light and airy (with a great fan for hot weather) and the kitchen was well stocked for breakfast. The location was great, making you feel like an Amsterdam local without being too far from anything. I'd definitely stay here again.

8.0Beautiful location, being on the water made our trip extra special and we enjoyed having all the boats and people to look at. Very comfortable bed, good shower, tasty breakfast provisions provided and a friendly welcome from the owner who lives in the rest of the boat. Good privacy and felt safe. Would recommend.
