Очень аутентичный особняк, принадлежавший одной семье на протяжении ста с лишним лет с продуманным дизайном. Очень вкусные турецкие завтраки которые готовят в кафе при отеле, отличный персонал.

Nie wieder. Das war ein komplettes Desaster.

− Das war das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich jemals gewesen bin. Ich bin nur wegen der Bewertung hingegangen, aber ich habe gelernt, dass man sich nicht auf Bewertungen verlassen sollte. Ich werde dort nie wieder hingehen. Ich empfehle es auch niemandem. Wenn Sie möchten, dass Ihr Urlaub ruiniert wird, dann gehen Sie dorthin. Sie gehen in ein Hotel, benutzen die Toilette und es kommt kein Wasser aus der Spülung. Weil das Spülsystem kaputt ist. In einem Hotel, für das ich 85 € für eine Nacht bezahlt habe, zeigt es nur, wie inkompetent die Betreiber sind, wenn sie etwas, das 1,20 € kostet, nicht reparieren. Noch um 23 Uhr hört man das laute Gelächter aus dem Café, und um 4:30 Uhr morgens spürt man im Bett den extrem lauten Müllwagen. All das zeigt, was für ein schreckliches Hotel das ist. Wenn Sie nicht schlafen möchten, dann gehen Sie dorthin. Ich weiß nicht, wie ich die Schlechtigkeit dieses alten Holzhauses, das sich Hotel nennt, noch schlimmer beschreiben soll. Mit den drei Schlüsseln, die man Ihnen gibt, betreten Sie dieses uralte Gebäude. Es gibt keinerlei Kartensystem oder Ähnliches. Das Innere Ihres Badezimmers ist vom Gebäude aus sichtbar. Vergessen Sie das auch nicht. Sie sind definitiv nicht sicher. Außerdem wird Ihr Zimmer wegen der verwendeten dünnen Vorhänge niemals richtig dunkel. Sie sind nicht einmal auf die Idee gekommen, für 1 oder 2 Euro einen verdunkelnden Vorhang anzubringen. Kurz gesagt: Wenn Sie eine katastrophale Erfahrung machen wollen, dann gehen Sie dorthin. Die selbstverliebten Hotelbesitzer sieht man an jedem einzelnen Detail dieses Hauses. Das nennt man, mit dem eigenen Geld lächerlich gemacht zu werden. Ich habe inklusive Frühstück bezahlt. In meinem Leben habe ich noch nie ein Frühstück gesehen, das erst um 9 Uhr beginnt. Offenbar müssen die Gäste warten, bis die Betreiber nach Lust und Laune aufwachen und das Frühstück vorbereiten. In anderen Hotels beginnt das Frühstück um 6 Uhr, hier erst um 9 Uhr.

Beautiful, quiet and elegant historical building with very convenient links to the Bosporus!

Ottoman Suites is set in a beautiful Ottoman-period building. Me and my Wife absolutely loved the décor and our room. We truly felt like we were transported back to the Ottoman times. The bed was unbelievably comfy and it was very quiet at night. This is the benefit of the staying in the Asian side of Istanbul, as it is quieter than the hectic European side but we were easily able to reach the Uskudar pier on the Bosphorous with a 3 minute taxi drive each day. We had a friend visit us several times at the hotel and the garden courtyard was a particularly elegant and chilled place to hang out in the evenings. The Turkish Breakfast was unbelievably good and well prepared, our waiter Arsoy was always smiling and hospitable. I would highly recommend Ottoman Suites to anyone who wants somewhere chilled and relaxed to stay on their Istanbul trip, but (conveniently) distanced from the madness of the European side.

− I requested an extra duvet from the staff on one of the nights, simply as being quite a tall man one duvet is not enough for me and my wife. I saw that on the hotel room contact card there was a laminated paper with the words "Herhangi bir şeye ihtiyacınız olursa lütfen bize mesaj gönderin" and a list of contacts. When I asked in Turkish on whatsapp to one of the owners for an extra duvet, I was met with a "?". After several hours a staff member brought up the duvet which I appreciated. The next morning at breakfast, the owners wife asked me why I needed an extra blanket and seemed absolutely puzzled at this request and kept asking why I didn't use the small wool blankets in the cupboard. I think it was a little over the top. Generally in hotels guests usually ask for extra pillows or extra duvets, I felt like it was a little bit of an interrogation for something quite benign. Please in the future if a guest asks for any extra bedding and reaches you using the card that says "Herhangi bir şeye ihtiyacınız olursa lütfen bize mesaj gönderin", don't make them feel like they've caused trouble for this simple ask. Apart from this my stay was great at Ottoman Suites. Many thanks to the staff.
