Prima appartement op prima locatie, bedden zijn een drama

Het appartement is prima, wat kleiner dan het op de foto's lijkt, maar ruim genoeg. De host is erg vriendelijk en het appartement is schoon en netjes.

− De bedden! Het bed in de slaapkamer is erg smal voor 2 personen (1.40 m.) en het matras is keihard. Ook het kleinere bed (eigenlijk geen bed te noemen want het is maar 1.50 lang, of nog kleiner) en de slaapbank zijn niet echt comfortabel. We hebben na 1 nacht een ander apoartement gezocht.

− Towels were not provided (despite advertised). Various strands of hair were found in the bathroom, terribly unhygenic. Unresponsiveness of host resulted in challenges upon check-in.

Easy check-in. The neighbourhood is safe and calm, well located.

− The towels were wet in the dryer when we arrived, which was prepared in there by the host. We got there late (at around 1 AM) and had to start the old and loud dryer at the middle of the night to get it dried. We gave up after a 30 min cycle and used wet towels. The extra bed for the 3rd person was too small even for a short person and extremely uncomfortable. It's a cheap sofa bed. Luckily there was a second sofa bed, which was a little but more comfortable and larger but the black sofa bed is just too uncomfortable. The description says there are toiletries included but there was no shampoo or shower gel. There was though toothpaste and liquid hand soap. Not too much toiletpapers too. We got 1.5 toiletpaper rolls for 3 person for 3 nights. The bathroom is generally dirty, with the floor dirty and sticky. There are security grilles for the windows but no key for them.

Full apartment, well-equipped kitchen, quiet area, relatively close to DLR, hosts responsiveness

− Pictures set the expectations high. The flat was dark, had a noticeable mill dew smell, one need to plan the use of water 30 minutes in advance, the water heater makes monster noises. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, especially since the mattress had a plastic cover right under the bed sheet that was impossible to sleep on - it made noise, moved and made us sweat. We were also left with 2 towels (on the picture there are small towels too that we didn’t have) and half a a loo roll for a week stay. Granted, the host came to bring it fairly quickly, but that could have been avoided.

Quieter than I was expecting that close to Airport/excel which was really nice and was spotlessly clean on arrival.
