10.0Spacious, clean, and comfortable; Perfect location, close to popular areas, but far enough that it is not too crowded/noisy; Apartment remained cool in the record heatwave; Host was very responsive and helpful
− It was fine for us, but those with limited mobility or heavy luggage should be aware that getting to/from the apartment requires carrying bags up and down at least one set of stairs across a canal

8.0Great communication and directions to get to the property. The property was spotless, very spacious, and in a quiet area. An easy 10-15 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge.
− We arrived early and left our luggage and waited to hear when the room was ready. It was cold outside and we got caught in the rain on our way back to our room. My husband jumped in the shower to warm up and there was no hot water. I contacted someone and he did his best to find out why but unfortunately couldn’t get us any hot water. So we just dried off and tried to warm up. After dinner we got home hoping it would be resolved but the water was still stone cold. So no showers for us that day. The following morning, still no hot water. We really wanted a shower by this stage. We went out for the day and came home cold and damp again that afternoon. Still no hot water. We were heading out the door for a dinner reservation that night when I was contacted to say the water system was now fixed. We couldn’t have a shower as we had to leave for our booking. When we got home later that night we finally had hot water. First shower in 2 days. I understand these things can happen but it was extremely inconvenient. The owner apologised and offered me 20% off our stay. He said he’d contact Booking.com in the morning to organise the discount. I thought that was great customer service. Unfortunately he never gave us any discount. We never heard anything again. Disappointed that he offered the discount and never went through with it. This property was the most we’d paid per night on our 9 week tour through Europe. I wanted to treat ourselves while we were in Venice.
