Fabulous homely stay - a haven within a busy tourist town

Fabulous location less than 10mins walk from the main tourist sites. It was actually a relief to walk away from the hustle and bustle to come home to a lovely neighbourhood area. Francesca and Cristian were great hosts- live on site and available to meet your every need without being at all intrusive. I would definitely come back to stay here again.

I come to the Venice Biennale every two years and I love staying in the Castello neighborhood of Venice-not only is it close to the exhibition sites but it is so much more relaxed than the areas near the tourist sites. Also it is an easy boat ride from the airport. My sister came with me and she did some sightseeing and had no trouble getting to San Marco and other parts of the city from Castello. The apartment was very clean, all the appliances appeared to be brand new and bathroom/kitchen newly remodeled. The two AC units remove humidity and heat very effectively and are quie. Francesca was very responsive and helpful when we contacted her with questions. It is the nicest apartment that I have rented thus far. It is close to amenities such as grocery shops, restaurants etc. A huge plus for me was that it was also very quiet.

− There are approximately 56 steps up to the apartment. Once our suitcases were up it was not really an issue. I'm 64 and was able to do it with relative ease but if you have a lot of gear or have a medical condition it might pose a problem.

The apartment was nicely renovated, clean, and spacious. All basic supplies wereprovided, including coffee, sugar, olive oil, and vinegar. That was very much appreciated. The view of the large garden from the bedroom windows was beautiful. The apartment is located in a quiet area, but the main attractions were easy to reach by foot. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment very much. Also, the hosts were easy to communicate with and made sure we had a good visit.

− Although it wasn't a problem for us, travelers with heavy luggage or mobility issues should be aware that there are lots of stairs to climb to reach the apartment.

L'emplacement de l'appartement est parfait. Dans un quartier tranquille. L'appartement est lumineux et très agréable à vivre. La vue de la chambre est dégagée sur un beau jardin. Francesca et Cris sont supers réactifs et nous a donné de bons conseils de restaurants.

Logement très agréable, propre, confortable et particulièrement bien situé. Un coup de cœur pour les luminaires. Les propriétaires sont attentifs et très gentils.

− J'ai noté 9/10 à cause des escaliers à monter après une journée passée à arpenter Venise.
