No fans, hot, filthy, broken bed, urine stains

The location was good

− My honest review.. WARNING!! Do not book during summer or come well prepared. This property is very hot and does not provide any fans. This makes it near impossible to sleep. It also doesn’t help how loud the area is, this may be down to single glazing but the apartment is both hot and noisy from early in a morning with dogs barking and even people talking being enough to wake me through the shut windows. Another thing that doesn’t help sleeping is the mattress in the far bedroom seems quite old with a significant dip in the middle, this may be due to the bed being broken underneath with no support in the middle. I’m unsure why this has not been rectified. This makes you both sleep on an odd angle which has given me a bad neck. Also anyone with young children or older people the stairs are very steep. Other than not being able to sleep much during my two nights the only other issue with the apartment was the cleanliness. Milk in the bottom of glasses, dirty cutlery and plates in the cupboards, blue tack holding the glass in the front door, plenty of urine stains on the duvets, pillows and mattresses. Cigarette burns in places, floor stuck back down after it has been ripped. Really disappointing for all, the broken bed and complete lack of sleep spoiled the trip. The cleanliness ruined my son’s trip and he did not feel comfortable here.

− The only thing I’d say is we could have done with a fan in each bedroom but that’s not a normal British requirement

Location and distance to the tube.

− We complained about the property, as there were quite a few issues with it. Upon arrive in the evening: We noticed the property doesn't seemed up have been cleaned properly... The place did not smell clean, there is dirt and dust in most corners, hair on the stairs etc. Floors do not seem like they have been hoovered or mopped All skirtings are pretty dirty. Most surface are dusty or grimy. The bathroom is pretty grimy, with black dirt on the skirting under the sink unit, the spare toilet roll thing is pretty grim, with dirty dusty ant trap next to the toilet. Again, skirtings and corners dirty, the shower door has dirt mould on door and is not clean around the drain hole. The shower has been temperamental, going hot and cold when using, t In the evening it turned off when I was having a shower and won't come back on! The sink is blocked slightly, water takes a while to drain. The drawer handle on the sink unit has toothpaste and dirt from previous occupants. Windows - not all windows open only one near TV, the bedroom with two windows only one near wardrobe opens, other window has a cracked pain of glass and doesn't open. Bedroom with one window doesn't open and cord is broken also dust on wall surface above mirror. The weekend has been extremely hot, so not being able to open all windows and no fans supplied failing the windows being unable to open is not ideal. Kitchen - cracked plug socket behind microwave, things haven't been checked in cupboards, most things are dirty. There is a random cup of water in the cupboard, I am assuming the last people who stayed put this in there to see if it would be checked! Have left this in there! TV remote doesn't work, so TV unusable, no spare batteries. This is not an acceptable state to find the property in, it feels neglected could do with a deep clean and repainting. General cleanliness and a working shower are just basics
