Scandi Style Flat in London with Private Terrace♡

This was a truly outstanding stay for us over Christmas and New Year. Location - for us this was perfect, love the East End of London, the true heart of the city. Easy walking to Hackney Wick (15mins), Bow Road(20mins) and Stratford Westfield (25mins). Also just a few mins away is the No 8 bus which will take you all the way to Tottenham Court Road with great views all the way. The area never felt sketchy and you have pubs, parks and the canals on your doorstep. You can easily walk through Victoria Park to Bethnal Green, Columbia Road, Brick Lane and Spitalfields. Accommodation - excellent! Spacious, really spacious! Super comfortable beds, all mod cons and an amazing view from the balcony. Good washing machine, excellent cooking facilities, big bathroom. Very clean, very safe area. Everything you need for an extended stay. Host - always friendly and helpful, responding to any questions very quickly. Makes a huge difference. There are a couple of minor issues addressed below and already raised with the host but nothing that would stop us staying here again. We miss it already and were very sad to leave, this accommodation helped make our holiday.

− None of these should be considered negative criticisms simply comments to help prospective customers and they have already been mentioned to the host. The curtains in the bedrooms are not adequate, in winter it was fine but in summer you might struggle with the amount of light. This was the biggest, possible ‘negative’. There are no curtains at all in the living space which does make it feel a bit like a fishbowl. It’s fine for the balcony window as you have an uninterrupted view of the city but the other apartments can see in on the other side and it would have been nicer (and cosier) to have blinds/curtains along that side. There is only one 2 seater sofa. It really does need a second if you are going to be spending any time there (17 nights for us).

Very good location, host was amazing to communicate this. It had everything you needed with comfortable beds.

− We would have preferred that you could lock the doors from the inside in the main room and also if the windows had blinds or curtains, it felt very exposed. I would also suggest another sofa instead of guests sitting on chairs.
