10.0We stayed in this apartment for five nights, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The host was extremely kind, welcoming, and always available. A major advantage is that he lives upstairs, so he was readily available whenever we had questions or needed assistance. The steep stairs in Amsterdam can be challenging, so we especially appreciated his help carrying our luggage, which was very thoughtful and far from taken for granted. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. In addition, the location is simply perfect for exploring Amsterdam. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay.
Great apartment but awful stairs
8.0The apartment was nice, clean and pretty much as described. Its also in a good location.
− My only complaint is the stairs that lead to the apartment. It's insanely tight and honestly unsafe (especially if you are 6ft or have luggage). I don't think the host does enough to emphasise how bad these stairs are when you are carrying luggage, or walking downstairs (I had to crouch when going down the stairs). There needs to be a picture included in the listing at the least.

9.0Great location. Washing machine was very useful. Had good kitchen supplies. Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Walking distance to everything.
− The stairs are extremely steep and narrow. While it was noted in the description, the reality made getting luggage up and down 2 floors difficult for 2 fairly fit 60s people.
Had everything we needed and the perfect base for our 3 night stay.
9.0Easy to find and get the keys with the lockbox. Great location. On foot, just 3 minutes walk to the metro, 15 mins to the Museum district and 30 mins to the city centre/main train station. Loads of pubs and restaurants nearby. Comfortable bed with fan in the room and really good shower Good sized kitchen and living area Timely communication from the owner
− Not a huge problem, but would have liked a mirror on the chest of drawers in the bedroom for doing make up (just one in the bathroom which steamed up with showering) We travelled with rucksacks, so the narrow, steep stairs were not an issue for us, but I wouldn't recommend if you have large heavy cases or mobility issues.
