Modern flat in central golders green♡

Not very modern, disappointing rip off

Had everything we needed

− Not in central Golders Green. Actually closer to Brent Cross. Booking.com said check-in was 3 pm but host insisted that it was 4 pm and wanted to charge exorbitant fees for checkin prior to 4pm! Building was dilapidated. Sink, crockery and glasses were not clean. Exhaust fan in bathroom inoperable. One blind did not work properly, one window did not open properly. No air conditioning and main living area got quite hot on warm days, partly due to ineffective blinds. Front Door lock was loose and door frame cracked-ie security poor. No key for deadlock. Flat was in a general state of disrepair.

The contact with the landlord was very good and pleasant. Communication was professional, friendly, and efficient.

− The accommodation was not very hygienic, particularly the entrance area, which was quite dirty. In addition, the room felt very stuffy and poorly ventilated. Opening the windows was difficult because flies would quickly come inside. The property would really benefit from having air conditioning. The fans provided were not sufficient to keep the room cool and comfortable.

The apartment itself was a great size, beds were super comfy and lots of storage and space. Open plan living areas separate from room and bathroom which was prefect for privacy. Bright, light living area and facilities for self catering.

− The entrance was horrendous. Loose slabs which both myself and my daughter tripped over twice. The key safe on the wall was difficult to find despite the instructions and the ground had wet leaves in a puddle and smelled of urine which was the only way to get to the key safe. Limited contact meant waiting over an hour trying to find the correct apartment and key safe as I thought it was inside the building. The interior walls could do with freshening up, broken blinds however overall it was modern and comfortable. Outside entrance needs made safe.
