Comfortable hotel just below the acropolis
10.0We came in by ferry from Milos. They sent us an email asking us if we wanted to be picked up at the port. We accepted their offer and it was very convenient. The hotel/apartment is located in the heart of Plaka. It’s a convenient walk to the agora or acropolis. It’s in the Centerof the tourist area, so there’s lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. I was worried at first that it might not be such a nice place, but I was very pleasantly surprised. We stayed three nights. They offered an option to have our room cleaned daily, but we turned them down. We’re happy to watch a World Cup game late one night in the room. Bathroom was small but had everything you could possibly need. They gave us some good recommendations on the rooftop bar within a acropolis view (Door in Athens, inside the Plaka hotel), and a nearby breakfast stop. After one day going out for breakfast. We went to a nearby bakery where there was always a line called 72 hours. The bread, Cles and spinach pies, etc. were excellent.
− Honestly, everything was great. I would not recommend to driving to this area, as a streets are really narrow and hard to fit a car. Perhaps there was parking somewhere near there. I don’t know.
