The front desk associates were very kind and accommodating.

− The elevator system was extremely confusing, there was construction happening everywhere and we were not informed. The furniture in the bathroom had several stains.

Great stay - lots of positives!

I was apprehensive to stay at this hotel after reading the recent reviews, however we had a fantastic stay! The hotel website clearly stated renovations were occurring, so we anticipated this. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. Every employee we met in the halls and elevator were so kind and really seemed happy. The room was great! Get the bay view - highly recommend this. Spacious room. Could have been a touch cleaner - so giving 4 stars. There was one instance that stood out for how great the employees are - we were going to go swimming and needed pool towels so we went to the font desk to ask. Due to the renovations, the gentleman working could not find the towels. He said he would send housekeeping up to the pool. We went swimming - fantastic hot tub - then found the housekeeper making a great effort to find us. She was so awesome! We really appreciated her bringing towels to us. Then there is the bonus of having all of the small stores and restaurants in the same building! Oh, and the park next door and Publix about 2 blocks away. This was a perfect location for a pre-cruise stay. Thank you for the great visit! We'll definitely return!

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first room I was assigned was unacceptable. There was trash throughout the room, used rags and towels left behind, and used shopping bags, making it obvious that it had not been properly cleaned. When I returned to the front desk, the only response I received was a brief apology, with the issue being blamed on housekeeping. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t any better. I found a dead roach on the floor, the bed sheets appeared to have been made carelessly, the floor was still dirty as if someone had tracked mud through the room, and the shower had clearly not been cleaned properly. There were water stains throughout the bathroom and other areas of the room. The rest of the hotel was just as disappointing. The hallways were dark, had an unpleasant odor, and felt unsafe. The elevators were confusing to navigate and extremely hot. Even the hallway carpet was loose and shifted under my luggage as I walked, creating a noticeable trip hazard. Overall, this property is in desperate need of a complete renovation and significant improvements to its housekeeping and management. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else..
