9.0市街地からは少し離れていますが、主要駅から1本で行ける駅にあります。 辺りは静かで、現地の生活を感じたい方にはぴったりだと思いました！ 宛てがわれた部屋はベッドのほか、机と椅子、ランプ、湯沸かし器、ハンガー、延長コード、また以前の宿泊者が置いて行ったのか不明ですが、変換器やノート、観光ガイド等も置いてあり、かなり充実していました。 タオルもバスタオル、フェイスタオル、ハンドタオルの3種が用意されており、手厚いおもてなしに感謝。 朝食や調味料等、棚や冷蔵庫から自由に使って良いスタイルで嬉しかった。調理用具や食器も充分に揃っていました。 6泊の滞在中、1度だけ洗濯もさせてもらいました。洗剤も使わせてもらえます。乾燥機はありませんが、イギリスはそもそも乾燥しているので、脱水した服は一晩部屋に干せば乾きました。 近所に遅くまで営業しているフィッシュアンドチップスのお店があって、テイクアウトして食べました。 サイズを伝え忘れていたので大きいのが来てしまい、食べるのに苦労しました。鱈の衣がサクサクで美味しかったです！ チェックインの時、ホストは都合により鍵の受け渡しが直接出来ないとのことで、鍵をロックボックスに入れて対応してくれたことに加え、部屋や設備が何処にあるかを写真つきで事前に送ってくれました。 ホストのRosyは忙しく、あまり顔を合わせる機会がありませんでしたが、実際に会った時に話して、とてもフレンドリーに楽しく接してくださり、また娘さんも紹介してくれて、良い時間を過ごせました。 聞きたいことがあった時、メッセージをすればすぐに対応してくれたので、助かりました。 またロンドンに訪れる際は、ぜひ伺いたいです。
− バスルームが1つだったので、誰かが使っていると待つ場合があることも。 シャワーブースは小さく、体格の良い方や子ども連れだとかなり厳しいサイズかもしれません。 駅から10分ほど徒歩があり、宿に向かう時に坂道のため、大きなスーツケースを持って歩くのが大変だった。 でも時間があればバスも使えるし、荷物がなければ行きも帰りも大したことはない坂道です。
