− It was a nightmare. Not clean at all Bed bugs in the bed, the walls and some furniture. The owner did not reply to any of my calls and messages. Avoid it.

Great apartment in a great location. Expect some street noise and challenge with building’s stairway

The location of the apartment is excellent, right in the middle of the vibrant Albert Cuyp Market. Many food, drink, clothing, and other stalls are just steps away, along with plenty of cafés and restaurants. Another plus is that the tram stop to Central Station is only a three-minute walk. As Jews, we also found the location convenient, as it’s very close to Bet Chabad, with a kosher restaurant and kosher grocery on the same block. The room itself was nice and clean, well-equipped, and having a kitchen and fridge was very useful. The hosts, Angelo and Denice, were very kind, and whenever we raised concerns or requests, they addressed them promptly.

− Although we had a nice stay, a few things did bother us: -Ascending and descending the stairs was quite a challenge, especially when we first arrived with our large bags. The stairway is very steep and narrow, and carrying heavy items up to the third floor was exhausting. Because the stairs are so narrow, it was also difficult to pass when someone else from the building was coming the opposite way. Unfortunately, there is no elevator in the building. -The market below was quite noisy. On some mornings, we were woken up early by the loud sounds of vendors dragging and setting up their booths, which made our mornings less pleasant. In addition, the curtains were hard to close completely, so sunlight came through and disturbed our sleep. -The price was quite expensive, even considering the good value we received. More than that, we had to pay most of it in cash, which was inconvenient for us.

− Is not possible to use the kitchen (no hob), the bathroom is very small (difficult to use the sink), improvised apartment aspect, the apartment is on the third floor, has steep stairs, and is difficult to carry luggage.
