Thrashed, unclean and bad communication

Initially a quick reply from the host. Later the owner was unable to reach.

− We were supposed to check in at 3 o'clock, the owner told us the check in was delayed, but didn't specify. We tried to check in two hours later. When we arrived the door was open, the place looked like it was ransacked. We were unsure if there was still someone inside and felt unsafe. The whole apartment reeked of cannabis and there was thrash everywhere. We tried to contact the owner but couldn't reach him. We couldn't stay there and had to book someplace else. Wouldn't recommend: 1/10 Many better and cleaner options available.

We had a very unpleasant experience with this accommodation. Unfortunately, I cannot honestly say that we appreciated anything here apart from the bed, which was, at least comfortable. Upon arrival, check-in was very complicated as there were no numbers marked on the main entrance to the building. Having finally found the correct door and entered the code, we found ourselves in a small entry which was full of leaves and dirt and piled up post. There was a terrible smell and several imposing cameras with automatic voices telling us that we were under surveillance. As we walked, the ground was sticky under our feet both in the main hallways and In the apartment. We had not been informed of our flat number either so it took us some time to work out which number flat to go to. Once inside we found ourselves in a suffocating interior temperature of 30 degrees. Prior to our arrival, I had been assured by the owners that, though there is no AC, the apartment would remain cool even in hot weather. Furthermore, certain windows would not open including one in the bedroom, so we had only a minimum of fresh air coming in during the evenings. Needless to say, our nights were anything but comfortable. There was also one window that did not close properly in the kitchen. There was no welcome note with Wi-Fi details etc, so it made it very difficult to work out how to connect ourselves to the internet. All the while I was trying to contact the owners directly by telephone but no one replied..they told me on the messaging service via booking that a telephone service was not available. I asked that someone would come and help us with the Wi-Fi and with the windows but of course no one came. The washing machine we later discovered did not function so we had to do our washing in a launderette. To top it all, the neighbourhood was noisy and rough. There were gangs of young people hanging out on the street making noise and staring at us as we walked.

− The whole experience.. photos very miss leading of size of lounge and kitchen. The property is crawling in dirt. We paid to eat out and stay away as much as possible. The property sits above a takeaway so don’t expect and peace as the window has. I handle so you can’t shut. The kitchen is filthy, did t attempt to clean as would just take too long. The kettle needs descaling it’s full of flakes and scale. Contacted the property owners on 2 occasion s as asked for photos and only response after was pre generated mail message. The List Could have gone on with photos and this was basic not even getting into any detail as to affraid of what we might have found. Parking you can book through parking apps 10-15 min walk and £40 per night unless you pre book well in advance.

Horrendous please avoid at all costs

Horrendous. Unclean. Unkempt. Cannabis paraphernalia in bedroom. Under beds were old tissues and towels. Stank of weed. Hairs and stains in beds. Could not stay there and had to find emergency accomodation at 7pm on a Friday night for a 2 year old baby and a dog. Absolutely worst place I have ever seen.

− All of it. Vile. Blood stains in bathroom. Grime set into the shower. The worst imaginable stains all over the walls and bedding.

It was clean and very spacious, lovely apartment and very safe and secure. Nice kitchen and bathroom

− Could have done with a fan but there was a breeze so it worked out ok in the end
