10.0Everything was fabulous!!! Host was very gracious and informative. They arragnged a private water taxi to take us from train directly to apartment. What an incredible introduction to Venezia. The interior decoration of the property was incredibly beautiful and apartment was light and bright but also very cozy. Read up on the history of the apartment on Red House's website, very interesting. Dorsoduro is a great quiet location off the beaten track but only a 5 minute walk to the Accademia bridge and San Marco sestiere. If you love museums and less crowds Casa Golena is the place to stay. Santa Maria Della Salute is right around the corner and one of the most beautiful places in Venezia. And you are right near the lagoon with views of Palladio's Redentore on Guidecca and San Giorgio Maggiore. Both stunningly beautiful. We were there for 4- nights during a heatwave and the air conditioning kept apartment so cool that we didn't even need to keep it at lowest temperature! A real PLUS! Apartment was clean, bathrooms exceptional and kitchen fully equipped. They even had a wheeled shopping cart to bring to the nearby Conad market. Couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely stay here again!
