Horrible Hotel Experience

− I booked it because I thought it looked nice and had a great location. It was very overpriced. nearly 400 euros but I said okay since it was King’s Day. First, check-in is only at 4 PM, and there is no reception or anyone you can speak to. There is also no luggage storage. I called the phone number, and the guy basically told me to store my luggage at the central train station. When we arrived at 4 PM, there was a man painting the walls. There is no lift, it was very dirty, and there was fresh paint everywhere. The whole place smelled strongly of paint. The room was big, yes, but they didn’t even clean it properly. The floor/rug was very dirty and dusty. The closet was falling apart. You only get one small towel. I reached out to message them because I needed another towel, but they didn’t even answer. There is also no soap or basic toiletries—bring your own. The shower was broken and taped together. The wood around it was rotten, and you could clearly see the damage. The shower sink was also falling apart. Don’t even look behind the lamps. I tried to reach the outlets and was shocked by how dirty it was. I had to run to the store to buy flip-flops because I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot. I reached out to them again, and still no answer. The bed was big, but the sheets had yellow stains on them. I’m not even sure if they were washed. The room windows were very old. It was extremely hot during the day and very cold at night. There was only a small broken fan—no AC at all. The noise from the street was horrible. You cannot sleep. The curtain was stuck on the ceiling. One side was covered in yellow stains, and the other side was black. So much light came in that it was impossible to sleep. This place is absolutely horrible. I am only giving one star because there is no option to give zero.

la posizione.

− partendo dal presupposto che credo non esista niente al mondo di più antigienico della moquettes di cui l’intero appartamento ed edificio è ricoperto, si sente un enorme odore di polvere e muffa ovunque. La stanza è totalmente ricoperta da centimetri di polvere e ragnatele e abbiamo anche avuto la spiacevole esperienza di trovare un ragno grande quanto il palmo di una mano nel lavandino del bagno che abbiamo dovuto uccidere. Tralasciando le varie macchie sulle moquette, per quanto ci siamo dovute stare , alla fine a noi interessava soltanto la posizione quindi direi che è stata un’esperienza antigienica ma funzionale.

De locatie was geweldig! Op loopafstand van bekende winkelstraten, mooie parken, en de Dam. De studio zag er mooi uit en hele vriendelijke host, raad het zeker aan.

Loved the brightness and open layout of the room. But the best part is the location, it’s on a walking distance from Rijksmuseum which is my personal fave. The property is clean and the beds are comfortable.

− Nothing, even the personal attention with Heineken beers was thoughtful.

Very spacious room with big windows. Located at a very central spot. Love the coffee bar across the building but the Nespresso inside the room was very decent as well.

− Nothing, maybe good to inform about transportation. Uber dropped me off 100 meters from the location. Was not the accommodations mistake, but better safe then sorry :)
