− After booking I was asked for information, such as drivers license and other personal information outside of booking.com, plus an additional fee of $300. I tried to cancel at that point and booking.com was no help. No response to my messages, no phone number that I could contact. He refused to give me checkin information or a refund so I paid the additional $300. He called it a security deposit, but we left the place extremely clean, followed all the rules and I have yet to see the "security deposit" returned. It has been 2 weeks.
