Had to book alternative hotel at short notice which cost £195.
1.0The property had gone into receivership. Arrived to find it closed completely with notifications in the windows. No information had been forwarded to me about this

− Alles ziemlich abgewohnt, keine 4 Sterne wert. Die Brandschutzanlafe war komplett ausgefallen, sodass das Gebäude geräumt wurde. Die Kommunikation der Mitarbeiter war mangelhaft.
Please do not ever go there. I travel a lot and have been to some pretty bad hotels. This is the worst.

Over the years, the building has housed a school as well as the hospital that saw the birth of mathematician and Enigma code breaker Alan Turing. Guests can enjoy a short stroll down the scenic canals or head to the city center, which is reachable in less than 15 minutes by tube.
The rooms are embellished with traditional dark wood furniture and antiques. All beds are wrapped in soft Egyptian cotton linen.
Due to COVID limited services are being offered at the moment. Guests can also enjoy the Tea House restaurant at the Colonnade, featuring an airy and light ambiance where a vast glass roof lets the daylight stream in.
