Nice apartment in the heart of Istanbul
8.0The location is excellent - right in the center of the city. Even though Istiklal Street is just around the corner and very lively, the apartment itself was quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of shops, cafes and currency exchange offices nearby. Kabataş ferry terminal and the metro are within easy reach. Check-in was smooth - we arrived late at night and had no trouble getting the keys. The apartment was very clean and pleasant.
− There was a slight unpleasant smell in the apartment. The shower temperature was hard to control - it would suddenly switch from very hot to very cold. We were also a bit short on cutlery. The stairs are quite steep and there’s no elevator, so be prepared for a climb. The washing machine and dryer are not inside the apartment but located upstairs on the landing. Laundry detergent wasn’t provided, so we had to buy our own.

8.0Convenient location, spacious apartment, allowed early check in which was very helpful for us. Air conditioning worked well and having access to laundry machines was convenient (these are on the top floor and shared between all apartments)
− The cooking utensils and pots were extremely limited, this made it hard to make much in the kitchenette. Better kitchen equipment would make a large improvement. The shower was a bit slow to drain and sometimes had a bit of a sewage smell - it wasn't a huge problem but could be improved. Be aware there is no lift, so climbing stairs is necessary (not a problem for us, but could be for some guests).
