10.0The room was very clean and comfortable. Close to all the attractions and in a very walkable location. We felt safe walking around the area at night. Downside would be the stairs - the were very steep and we don’t travel light. I would say though, if you are looking for a historical place to stay this is the norm! There was street noise in our room, but it was quiet by around 11. The room also was equipped with an AC unit which was an added bonus. The hotel runs a bit different as there is no front desk but we had excellent support that was just a text message away.

10.0Gorgeous boutique hotel in the best part of Amsterdam - the 9 streets! Just loved everything about it - but prepare yourself for the Dutch stairs.

10.0Spacious and well appointed. There was construction being done to the building so we were not able to enjoy the patio area unfortunately but otherwise it was a good stay. The stairs are steep but manageable. The owner was helpful to allow us a way to store luggage which was very helpful.

8.0Hotel IX was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Amsterdam. We were able to walk to all the attractions we wanted to see and to nearby restaurants. Although there are many stairs to climb and the building was undergoing some outside renovation, our host Merel was very helpful and kind. Thank you.

Don’t think twice - book Hotel IX
10.0I can’t say enough good things about Hotel IX and the wonderful host, Merel. After searching for a place on Google and Hotels.com, we found Hotel IX and after our stay in the Runstraat Suite we have no hesitation in recommending it. The accommodation is great, the location is perfect and the overall experience was seamless. Our room had a huge photo of the Runsraat streetscape, and we went and checked it out in person and recreated the photo, which is a cool little touch.
