2.0Arrived to find they had no record of our booking that was booked and paid for through Expedia. The hotel staff were helpfull in finding us a room at an alternative hotel, but this was not in the same area of Paris which was extremely disappointing and inconvenient. Expedia were extremely unhelpful in offering any compensation, we will not be using this platform again for booking accommodation.

2.0Upon check-in, we found the hotel charming with a nostalgic, old-school vibe. My wife and I booked three nights under my name. The room was small but functional — cold AC, hot water, and a comfortable queen bed. Since we spent most of our time exploring Paris, the room size wasn’t an issue. On our final night, we returned to the hotel around 2 AM after a long day out, only to be told we couldn’t access our room due to a supposed single-occupancy rule. This was surprising, as it was our third night there with no prior mention of this restriction. I asked to see where this policy was stated and was shown something in French. I apologized, offered to add my wife to the reservation and pay any extra charges, but was told the hotel was fully booked and we had to leave immediately — no refund, no alternative, no assistance. While I acknowledge the importance of reading the fine print, the lack of communication and inflexibility at such a late hour was unacceptable. It completely derailed our final night in Paris.
