The hostel is very close to Goldsmith University and there many convenient stores, cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area. The hostel is well organized, spotless clean, without mosquitoes or bedbugs. Very good free breakfast at the dining room and it’s possible to cook or store your own food at smaller kitchens that are on 2nd. & 4th floor. The staff are very kind and go out of their way to help you.

First thing to mention here is that you can disregard any reviews of this hostel written before NX was taken over by its new management team. They have transformed NX into an amenity rich, scrupulously maintained hostel that now offers a feature set competitive with many Central London Hotels, at a fraction of the price. Key amenities at NX include free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, free beverages and snacks, free linen and towels, a bar, laundry facilities, and 24-hour reception. It’s safe to say that Guests here are pampered. Each floor has own self contained kitchen/ work area and not one, but 3 bathrooms per floor(!). This means that you can pee, work and/or make a meal 24/7, without having to wait hours competing with multiple guests,, all trying to do the same thing. With these, and other like minded innovations, NX appears to be evolving a unique niche for itself as a fusion of key amenities of both hostel and hotels. These cool upgrades are not reflected in NX’s price point, which remains one of the most affordable and lowest in London, good news also for you. The Fun Factor (Hostel and Area Culture) NX has been redesigned to be a social hub. There are several options to get to know your fellow travellers and make new friends whilst here. The main kitchen room I mentioned has been redesigned to double as a lounge and is the most popular hang out spot. Here NX’s guests can enjoy a one stop of socializing, preparing main meals, or watching movies on a big screen TV, while helping yourself to free coffee, tea and snacks. All three kitchens are kept shiny clean and fully stocked daily. If British beer and music are your thing, NX has an adjoining pub right next door featuring a live stage, dance floor and as I also mentioned performances from emerging London Rock groups. The crowd are mostly Uni student locals, adept at partying (of course) and open to out of towners – feel free to dive in. New Cross town is for the most part a community of young professional families living and working in Central London. The town vibe is chilled, a laid back mix of bistros, pubs and multi ethnic eateries and green areas including a large park 2 minutes from NX Hostel. All your supply shopping can take place on New Cross high street, also just 2 minutes from NX Hostel. All in, NX Hostel distinguishes itself from the pack for forward thinking in development of new features and amenities, friendly and helpful staff 24/7, free add ons, lots of hang out/ work spaces and bargain rates for a prime Central London location.

This was my first experience staying in a hostel in London, and I honestly had a great time at NX London Hostel. The place had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. It felt like a good mix of comfort and community — perfect for a solo traveler like me. Definitely a memorable stay!
