10.0This is the perfect place for a true Roman experience. The building has all the characteristics of a good old local house within an iconic area. You'll fall in love as soon as you cross the main entrance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Stefano is very kind and would make everything to ensure an enjoyable stay. Francesco helped with the check-in and answered all the questions before I would asked them The location is very central and perfect. The best way to enjoy all the big and little secrets that Rome has to offer is to walk. And it can be easily done from this place. I live abroad but was born and bred in Rome. So believe me when I say: this is a true enjoyable experience to a very high standard.
Ok place but more should be expected
6.0If I could I'd give the place a 3.5 stars mainly because of the service and attention provided by Stefano, he was great (he was a 5 stars if I could rate his service and help). On the other hand, places in Rome should do a bit better and we, as customers, should expect and demand better accommodation. I understand it's all about offer and demand of products and services, however the hospitality sector in Rome needs to make a bit of effort on the level of accommodation and how it's maintained. For the price paid, in my opinion, La Bernardon Trastevere rooms were quite basic and the accommodation did its purpose, however the bathroom was not the best as it could have been cleaner and it was lacking good size extra blankets appropriate for the bed. Location, on the other hand, was excellent. Because of the mix experience I got during my stay, next time in Rome I'd stay somewhere else.
Great stay!
8.0Great location although a bit noisy outside during the night. Room exactly as shown in pictures, both the bathroom and the room big and comfy. Sofa bed a bit rough but bed ok. Daily cleaning room was mentioned in the booking reservation but turned out to be incorrect. Stefano was quick to respond about it and kind to offer a partial reimbursement. Days prior to arrival he contacted me with full details as to how to get there by public transport from the airport, and offered help if any question or inquiry from my end. I recommend the place and I’d happily return.
