7.0We enjoyed our stay in the nice house and environment. .
− Our room had a strange smell.... I think weird. There were construction workers operating machines from 8 o clock in the morning or have given us a discount. He might have sent us to another room. Fortunately the noise was not constant

A great base in Tokyo!
9.0Satoshi was very welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean and the location ideal for exploring Tokyo.
− There is some building work going on but this was just during the day so didn’t really affect us as we were out all day.
12/10 would not recommend for solo female travelers. Steer well clear.
6.0If you are looking to feel like you are traveling Japan in the 19th century, this is the hotel for you. Futons, tatami, shared bathroom, and indoor bugs since the windows aren’t real and the walls are made of paper.
− For a mere 1000 yen more you could stay at a business hotel nearby with a private bathroom and a lock on your door that is not something a child would use to secure their diary. The innkeeper had also draped every available wall in sheets he was washing.
Good to know
Landry facilities are available at an additional cost, and can be used from 15:00-20:00 only. No dryer is available.
A deposit is required to use a free-use bicycle. It will be refunded upon safe return of the bicycle.
Taito Ryokan can hold your luggage between two stays at the inn (while traveling to another area, etc.), but requires full payment for the 2nd stay in advance in such case.
