3.0It was a roof over my head and it Was relatively close to a lot of things that we wanted to do in the city
− One of the most disappointing vacation rental experiences I’ve ever had. We paid approximately €2,000 for this apartment expecting a comfortable family stay in Barcelona. Instead, we arrived to an apartment with a leaking air conditioner that created large puddles on the floor, a broken washing machine, excessive dust, and ongoing renovation-related issues. The A/C leak was discovered immediately upon arrival. At that point, I requested a solution because I was traveling with my wife and 15-month-old child. Rather than being offered a reasonable alternative accommodation or a meaningful refund so we could relocate, we were left dealing with the situation while management attempted to patch together fixes. For a property charging premium rates, the condition of the apartment was unacceptable. We spent part of our vacation documenting maintenance problems, communicating with management, and waiting for repairs instead of enjoying Barcelona. What makes the experience even worse is the way compensation was handled. Despite acknowledging the problems, the initial compensation offer was €80, later increased to €150. For a stay costing around €2,000 and involving multiple failures of advertised amenities, that response felt completely disconnected from the reality of what we experienced. The photos and message history speak for themselves. If you’re considering this property, be aware that the condition may not match the expectations created by the listing, and if significant issues arise, don’t expect compensation that reflects the true impact on your stay. I came to Barcelona for a family vacation. Instead, I spent part of it dealing with flooding, broken amenities, dust, repairs, and negotiations over problems that should never have existed in the first place.
