When Ibiza goes to sleep
We priced the same forty hotels for every week of autumn. The island gets cheaper, then quieter, then it closes almost entirely — here is the week to catch it mid-yawn.
There is a week every autumn when Ibiza stops performing. The clubs have sent everyone home, the airport quiets down, and the hotels that stay open drop their rates the way you drop your keys in the bowl by the door. We wanted to know exactly which week that is, so we asked our own booking engine.
The method is plain: we took forty Ibiza hotels from our catalog, and priced the same stay at each of them — two people, two nights, arriving on a Tuesday — for every week from the first of September to the end of November. Cheapest available room per hotel, taxes as the properties publish them, all in euros, all pulled live on the same day. No averaging of averages, no supplier estimates. What the engine could book, at the price it could book it.

Prices are per night for the two-night Tuesday stay, observed on 28 July 2026. They move constantly; treat the shape as the finding, not any single number.
The shape of the season
Three things in that table tell the whole story.
September is still the season, at a discount that grows weekly. The median slips from €296 to €224 across the month — a fifth off by the end — while nearly every hotel in our sample stays bookable. If you want the island fully awake, late September is the honest compromise.
The second and third weeks of October are the point of it. Median €148 a night — half of early September — with the cheapest beds under €90 and still nineteen to twenty-five hotels to choose from. The sea is still warmer than the air. This is the week the island yawns but hasn't yet turned off the lamp.
Then it closes. Not gradually — structurally. From the last week of October the bookable count falls off a shelf: ten hotels, then two, then effectively one. The November "prices" in our table aren't a market, they're the handful of year-round houses that never close. If a site quotes you a wide choice of Ibiza hotels in mid-November, ask it which decade it's quoting from.
What we'd do with this
Arrive Tuesday the 13th or 20th of October. Book the kind of hotel that would embarrass your budget in August. Pack one more layer than you think you need. And know that the €79 room at the bottom of that column is real — it was bookable, through us, the day we wrote this down.
