Excellent place to stay if you like to feel the real Singapore
10.0We stay at the Village Hotel Katong every time we fly to Singapore so have stayed here on about 8 occasions. The staff are always so helpful and on this occasion we had asked to be able to check in early as our flight arrived at 09.30 and they were able to do this for us and at no extra charge so we really appreciated this. The room was better than any we had stayed in before too. This is a fantastic place to stay as there is a supermarket downstairs, and a couple of cafes and restaurants. Also you can just walk through the supermarket into the main street of Katong which is full of wonderful Singaporean restaurants and has a fantastic real Singapore atmosphere. You can also walk to East Coast Park which is a lovely place for a stroll along the coast in beautifully kept gardens. There is a brand new shopping mall across the road too.
Definitely worthy for people who want accommodation near airport
10.0Good location—close to the airport, quiet inside, and with a mini supermarket downstairs. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the staff (particularly Malcolm) are very friendly. Beakfest is included with the accommodation, and the buffet has lots of variety.

10.0Fantastic support from the staff, particularly Hairi who was so helpful when we came back to pick up our suitcases that we had left in storage at end of our day exploring Singapore. We were also given access to the gym for a last shower before heading to the airport. And he kindly organise a taxi for us. Incredible breakfast spread too! And a 5 min walk to the metro station. Super easy to navigate to the hotel. Lovely pool, it was apleasure to take a dip after a very warm day in town.
