Nice room, some slight hiccups
6.0Room was clean and nicely furnished, bed was comfy and aircon worked well. Phone number to call meant quick resolutions.
− Was told a few days before they had over booked us and had to move us to another hotel then corrected afterwards. Then on arrival had been given the wrong key box info so arrived at 10pm to an empty key box. Shower drain smelt pretty awful, I think the instruction they are looking for on the shower is ‘use the cloth to block the drain after showering’.
Extremely noisy, poorly maintained accommodation with unreliable air conditioning, cleanliness issue
2.0− It was extremely noisy from the moment I arrived at around 6pm. The bars are directly underneath the property and stay open until around 2am, so there was constant noise. On top of that, the walls and floors are very thin, you can hear conversations, people walking above you, neighbouring guests, and doors slamming throughout the building. The double-glazed windows/ "sound proofing" made little difference. The room was significantly smaller than advertised, and the bathroom had no ventilation, meaning I had to leave the door open after showering. The bed also creaked loudly with every movement. The mini fridge had visible mould inside, and I also found bugs in both the bathroom and the bedroom. The air conditioning setup was particularly frustrating. The control panel in my room appeared to control the air conditioning in the neighbouring room, which caused ongoing issues. As a result, people came to my door twice to check the air conditioning—once at around 11pm, which was especially disruptive, and again during the day while I was trying to sleep. Having my stay interrupted because of a problem with the room's AC configuration was both inconvenient and unsettling. The layout also wasn't ideal for me as a solo female traveller. The room shared a small, lockable entrance hallway with another room, which made me feel less comfortable than having a completely private entrance. I also overheard another guest speaking on the phone about requesting a refund due to air conditioning issues, which suggested I wasn't the only guest experiencing problems. A cleaning fee of €12 per day was charged, but my room was not cleaned at all during my three-night stay, which was very disappointing given the additional daily charge. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay, especially solo female travellers.
Great location !!
9.0This is a great location for those who want to be close to a little of everything., The shopping district is about a 12-minute walk, there were many restaurants nearby and it was close to many of the historic sites. This location is a 10-minute walk from pink street which is perfect for those that want to be close but not in the center of all the action. The noise was not extreme, and I honestly could not hear anything with the windows and doors shut which was great for the nights I took it in early. The host made sure I arrived safely and provided all entry instructions ahead of time and check in and check out was made easy. Thanks, Richard, for a nice stay!
Great location with friendly host!
7.0This property was in a fantastic location. Completely central in Lisbon with bustling streets and attractions nearby. Conveniently located near many public transport options! We loved our little balcony as well.
− While we were aware there was some noise from the street, it is worth mentioning that the shutters don’t block out the noise completely. I wore noise cancelling headphones some nights which helped! The bars below stay open (and noisy) till the early hours of the morning on most nights. We weren’t too bothered by it but for those who are noise sensitive- this may not be the place for you. Additionally, the bathroom had a few issues- there was a smell of slight sewerage at all times in addition to the bathroom nearly flooding when showering.
Très bien
