A little more attention to detail and this would be a great place to stay.

Location was great but very noisy with a lot of traffic noise. The bedroom was lovely to look at and the bed was big and comfortable and there was also a comfortable couch to sit on.

− The fridge had a half eaten meal and an open, half bottle of water in it. There was no remote for the tv. The main issue with our stay was that the air conditioner was leaking and we had to soak up the water with towels and listen to the constant drip of water throughout the night.

Excellent location.

Location in Florence is fantastic, right in the near the river and a stones throw for the Basilica's and shopping.

− Washing facilities are best suited to persons under 5'6"

Disappointing stay

The location of the apartment in Central Florence is great. Only a stones throw from the Arno and a 10 minute walk from the station and Duomo. The reception area of the apartment block is beautiful.

− We were not advised before our stay that there were major amd what seem like long- standing works going on directly outside the window of our room (Room 2). The only window in this room looks into an inner section of the building that serves only to deliver llight with no views. The scaffolding and workers were literally at the window (see photo) hammering, plastering and mortoring from 8am each day which meant that not only was it very loud, but we had to keep the window and shutters closed (which they didn't). The noise and interference was impossible to sleep through, so we left the room early each day to get away from the noise. So, thanks for letting us know, which with what seems like a live in manager you would have known, and had we known would have booked alternative accommodation. The bathroom was accessed via a big'ish step up/down into the bathroom with limited headroom. At 1.83m (6ft) tall I hit my head on the stone doorway lintel a few times. The bathroom was a also very basic and the shower had only one half of a shower screen (no idea why), which meant that water spilled onto the bathroom floor making the mat wet and the floor slippery. The only window in the bathroom is in the shower and cannot be opened whilst having a shower otherwise you lose all of the water out of the window!! which makes ventilation the room whilst showing an interesting scenario. The plug on the sink didn't work at all??!! Lastly the coffee making facilities being purported to be offered are fine if there are cups available (which there weren't). Sorry, but not somewhere we'd return to in a hurry.
