Sweet cosy room and grand canal breakfast view
10.0Strategic location to explore Venice, as everything is in walkable distance. Very clean hotel, cosy nicely decorated room in a historical building, but the rooms are refurbished. Breakfast was tasty and the breakfast room is in the central Ego hotel, with an amazing view at the grand canal. Very kind stuff. They also have services like taxi transfers and excursions to Murano factory, but we didn't get any.
− There is not a real canal view, as you have to lean out the window to manage to see a bit of the water. Breakfast style is weird. You have to fill a form the previous day and order one thing from each category they offer. Fresh orange juice is chargeable (!!!) which is ridiculous for a 270 euros room. Also, you have to declare the time that you are planning to have breakfast the next day, which I find very restrictive. There was a variety of food and everything was tasty, but dishes were served one by one, in a random order.. for example desserts first and then the savory ones.. Plus, this way, it would have taken an hour to just have breakfast. I get that the room is very small and they have to regulate the kitchen and the dining room, but I wasn't very excited with the breakfast style.
