10.0We stayed at Hotel Casa do Bairro by Shiadu for three nights between Christmas and New Year after a friend’s recommendation — and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel is lovely and in a fantastic location, surrounded by so many bars and restaurants and only about a 25-minute walk from the shopping centre. The airport transfers they arranged for us were excellent value; the drivers were friendly and pointed out sights along the way, which made the journey enjoyable. Our room was very large, spotlessly clean, and featured an extremely comfortable bed — we slept wonderfully. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with really good coffee to start the day. The reception team were lovely and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended — a delightful place to stay! 🤩

2.0We flew in from the US to Lisbon. The hotel knew we’d arrive around 10 AM and told us the room would be ready by 1 PM. Fine. We left our bags, went for brunch, came back at 1… not ready. 2 PM… still not ready. We were the only guests waiting, but they couldn’t be bothered to prioritize cleaning our room — just empty promises from a receptionist who sat there doing nothing. To top it off, they sold us an overpriced airport transfer, claiming you “can’t” get there by Uber. Absolute nonsense — Uber is three times cheaper. Yes, the room was clean and spacious, but the location is in a run-down, unpleasant part of the city. Overall? Not worth the frustration or the scam tactics.
I wouldn't stop here again next time.

8.0Lived: Quirky and interesting decor. Yummy breakfast. Super fun and friendly staff! Didn’t love: Additional charges for municipal taxes that weren’t disclosed in res-o. Additional $25 charge for early check-in (it was only 90 minutes early).
