An authentic gem with exceptional staff!

Our stay was truly special. The staff was exceptional—always ready and more than willing to help with anything. The accommodation is set in an 250yro building, beautifully restored to its original glory with a few contemporary touches that give it immense character, authenticity, and true Turkish originality. ​On the ground floor, the owners run a beautiful carpet and antique shop, everything curated with incredible taste and tradition. Location-wise, it’s perfect: very easy to get around by Uber to reach all the main sights, and a nice, easy downhill walk back! ​The rooms are exactly as shown in the photos: spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you need. While there’s always a tiny room for improvement, the charm of this historic building makes you completely overlook any minor flaws. Highly recommended!

− This wasn't a problem for us or our 80-year-old moms. That said, anyone with mobility issues might find the stairs a bit challenging, and there is occasional street noise. But honestly, it’s all part of the charm of living in the true Istanbul!

Spacious comfortable rooms with huge windows (two of them with lovely views of a neighbouring mosque) in a perfect location to explore Istanbul. Apartment: Very comfortable beds, having laundry and the ability to cook a quick breakfast or snack was a definite plus for our family of four. There is everything you need in the space—coffee in the room and a great little cappuccino machine downstairs. Separate space for sleeping. Enough room for all our stuff in lovely wooden armoire. Wonderful atmosphere. Some reviewers commented on noise. With the windows closed, we had perfect sleeps. Faint audibility of Imam chants was an atmospheric bonus for us. Hosts: The family who hosts is absolutely lovely. Extremely helpful and so kind—we felt genuinely welcome and so well taken care of. They also helped us arrange for transport to our next location, and they sent us to all the best places to eat in the city. Had a wonderful meal at the Historial Restaurant in the square that is steps away. THANK YOU for hosting us so well!!! Area: We debated between this area and right by the Hagia Sophia. Highly recommend this area. There are locals dining and living and shopping, not just tourists, and the prices are a little better. This area felt more authentic—and it was still only an 8-12 minute walk to everything. It is also just steps away from a great shady park and playground for younger kids AND steps away from a seaside park where local families have picnics and watch the sunset over the Mediterranean. Overall: Honestly, we loved it here. We stayed a week and it was perfect. We will be back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great looking apartment. Comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful. Great bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It's a short walk to the historic centre of the city, so ideal for on foot explorations.

− The street is very busy with traffic until late at night. Not the most peaceful, and earplugs were needed for sleeping. Tram stops aren't too far away, but require walking up steep hills to reach.
