− Che non ho dormito in questo ma in un’altro hotel, per motivo ancora a me sconosciuti, forse era in manutenzione ma l’host non parlava troppo bene inglese, comunque è stato bravissimo a trovarci in tempi record una sistemazione per la notte

Property was simply unreachable yet the owner didn't refund my stay

Nothing, as I could not even get to the property

− I was driving my car to the property and it started raining. The rain was not really heavy so I didn't really care about it. It turned out it is located in a very small tight street, there are fences and buildings on both sides of the road. The road there turned out to be flooded! I was really close to the property but I simply could NOT reach it because the road was flooded and the water level already was too high to drive there - the water was already touching the body of the car! I called the property and explained the situation, that I simply can not reach the property. I moved back to the beginning of the street while talking to the owner and let a taxi go first. I have a normal sedan car, not a truck or 4x4, and I don't want to risk my car - the least thing I wanted is to get stuck there because again, the water level was too high. The owner initially said "oh I see a taxi going there, no problem, you car can go". Lol, the street was really dark and I couldn't see much, plus add the rain, and the taxi was a bigger (and higher) car than mine - no, thank you. I said I don't want to risk. The owner said "I will call a taxi and you can go on a taxi" - when I asked where I could park my car (because the street is tiny and there's a highway on the other side) he didn't say anything. His English wasn't really good. Our conversation just went in circles. I do believe that if the property is unreachable for whatever reason, then it's not my problem and not my fault, so I asked him to cancel. He didn't. I called the booking support, explained situation, and they said they would cancel the reservation but it's up to the property to refund me or not. As I see, there was no refund. This is extremely unpleasant. I don't care about the money much, but I do believe that it's just totally unfair to charge me even though the property was unreachable.

I liked everything about my stay, very friendly and helpful staff, next time in Bangok will stay again.
