6.0Good location in Kyoto, but a lot of the rules are not clear on booking sites like Hotels.com or Expedia. There is no staff there most of the day, hotel is very basic even though pictures show it in a much modern light, you cannot check out a day early even in emergency situations. There is no cleaning service. When we arrived we were supposed to stay 4 nights and they asked us to consent to one cleaning, in the third day. That cleaning never actually happen, and there wasn’t someone to ask why. Clean hotel, very basic, expensive for what it offers, good location. Would not stay there again, much nicer options for similar price.
