Wonderful hotel in local neighbourhood

We stayed in a family room with two comfortable double beds. The room was nicely designed. The tatami area with the low table was really special. We loved how the hotel combined traditional elements with contemporary comforts and blended in naturally into the neighbourhood. The area felt very local and we were not far away from all the evening street activities of Gion Matsura - so lucky! Everything was spotless and there was a big cupboard for all the luggage. Washing machines and luggage store were available and the reception staff was super nice and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone appreciating local neighbourhoods.

Super flinke personale. Renligt og rolig område.

− Tjek ind var lidt for besværligt. Du skal oprette dig via en app og der bedes om telefon nummer. Hvis du har e sim hjemmefra kan du ikke angive dig eget nr. Lidt for langt væk fra centrum - ca. 20 min, men ok busforbindelser.

− Beds. Pictures show mattresses on bed, however they had paper thin futon Poor night’s sleep. Staff were unable to provide with any assistance- ie double layer, or extra doona to lie on to increase comfort.

Cosy family stay in a quiet neighbourhood

We had a comfortable stay overall. The family room was cosy and well laid out, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor space, which was a lovely bonus. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It was also nice to be able to help ourselves to amenities in the reception area, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, with convenience stores and a good selection of restaurants within easy walking distance.

− The bathroom layout wasn’t particularly practical, as there was no convenient shelf or ledge for toiletries, meaning items such as shower gel had to be placed on the floor. There were also very few hooks or rails for hanging towels and clothes while using the shower or bath.

Lovely base to explore Kyoto.

Lovely room, comfy beds, nice shower/ bath, nice complimentary toiletries, helpful reception staff (reception manned from 14-23pm), two complimentary appartment cleans for our 7 night stay, can get towels from reception every day. 5min from bus stop for Kyoto station. Great larger supermarket called 'Life' 8mins walk away and convenience stores just around the corner.

− Seating area is Japanese style, which some of our group struggled with - however, this was clear prior to booking, so not the propertie's fault. Otherwise, all great, would definitely stay here again.
