The property is a gem of an apartment in the quietest part of Giudecca, perfect spot to relax and yet close enough to be in San Marco in 15 min via vaporetto (10 min to the stop, 5 min crossing). It is beautifully kept (we really liked the floors and exposed beams in ceilings!), spacious, and we found the kitchen well equipped, the fridge quite big and all very useful. There is Coop supermarket 5 min away, though you have to walk slightly further for coffee. The check-in was smooth with a very nice gentleman explaining everything, from keys to how to deal with trash/bins. I really appreciated that there were basic oil, salt, sugar, coffee in the pantry, as well as all sorts of washing soaps for dishwasher and washing machine. We replaced one that was finished, and we hope all travellers do the same. We would be back, with a few caveats mostly about the mosquito nets, aircon and wifi.

− The wifi was really poor. My husband had to tether from his phone for any work call or come to me work with me. It wouldn't even be enough for an evening doom scroll on social media. The second room (with the twin beds) does NOT have an aircon unit. This should be CLEARLY said in the advert. To be fair, the property offered us a full refund when we found out, but we didn't take it due to it being too last minute. There is a small fan. It became hot and stuffy, but my son and mother slept okay regardless. The owners advised to leave the aircon on all day, doors open. While we did this, the temperature was always borderline sticky, especially as Venice is so humid (we visited in July). At night, it would have been nicer to open some windows for some air circulation, especially as the living space has plenty and is on the corner of the island. However, the windows do not have mosquito nets, except for the bathroom one, and even that one is broken in pieces. We had to leave windows closed most of the day (we aired in the mornings, but it became too hot very quickly). We felt the air coming out of the units was barely cool (definitely not cold) and wrote to owners about it; they said all units had been maintained recently and they were just not very powerful. Had we been staying longer, it would have become an issue. I want to mention that there is de facto no balcony to enjoy. The aircon unit was on one side and takes up most of the space, there is a cabinet on the other side. There was a clothes airer with linen left to dry, that I put in a closet to use (since the apartment has a washing machine). Moreover and most importantly though, if the aircon is on, the balcony becomes as hot as an oven. I couldn't even put my feet on the floor as it was burning. Definitely not an outdoor space to use, although I understand the need to put the aircon unit. It's a shame, especially about the temperature inside, because we otherwise really liked the place!

Die Lage auf Guidecca in der Nähe der Haltestelle Palanca und eines Supermarktes ist perfekt. Von der Küche aus kann man auf zwei Kanäle schauen. Das Doppelbett ist sehr komfortabel. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

− Die Einzelbetten im zweiten Schlafzimmer waren zu weich. In diesem Schlafzimmer gibt es auch keine Klimaanlage. Der Balkon ist leider sehr klein. Man kann nur zwei Stühle darauf stellen.

Would definitely stay here again
