Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits der Touristenströme in einem alten Gebäude mit viel Charme und Blick auf das geschäftige Treiben auf dem Kanal.

− Die Abfallentsorgung per Schiff sollte besser gelöst werden, da es keine Möglichkeit gibt, den Müll vor der Abholung am späten Vormittag außerhalb der Wohnung zu deponieren.

Great host, quieter area not so touristy, authentic house.

− 3 floors up could be an access problem for some people. Microwave would make things slightly easier but not really necessary.

Giovanni, the host, is very nice and supportive, with excellent tips about restaurants and where to buy the best carciofi of the world. The localization is the best, very central, perfect to explore the six sestiere of Venice. The apartment is comfortable and clean. There are also good books and an wonderful guide of Venice.

− It is a penthouse, and because of this there are stairs. It is a point of attention if you have some mobility condition. There is no lift in the building -- like in most of old buildings in Europe

Excellent location, Giovanni is a very punctual and hospitable host, the apartments have their own unique image, clean and comfortable. I recommend it for those who want to feel like a Venetian and spend a romantic vacation.

If you want to feel you are really in Venice.. Here is the place to stay.. Its both Comfortable and stylish... Very Venetian. The little extra loft area has very little head room but adds to the charm. Windows give views over a little square and lesser canals... Altho a singing gondola did go past one evening. My friends stayed on Murano in a modern apartment.. I preferred this. It is simply decorated to a good standard. Very clean. Nice usable kitchen area. Supermarket close by. I did get lost several times. But that's just me..than goodness for Google maps! The area has a lovely range of shops... Slightly less pricy than across the grand canal. With glass being made for all to see in the evenings. Thank you.

− You do need to keep to the time it says to book in.. And book out.. Which is not always possible with flight/coach times.. Maybe contact him 'before' you book if necessary

We were close to the main attractions in Venice: Realto Bridge and San Marco Square. The supermarket Conad was in our block, it was convenient to get everything we needed.
