It’s a lovely Venetian apartment with great views of the canals and in an amazing location, perfect for exploring Venice.

− There were two issues with the apartment, it wasn’t the cleanest, superficially it looked clean on arrival but the rug had definitely not been hoovered and the kitchen had layers of dust on various surfaces etc. we weren’t initially overly bothered as we dealt with it ourselves when we arrived (there’s a hoover in the cupboard) There appears to be the expectation that you will clean the kitchen yourselves when you leave the apartment so the level of cleanliness you walk into depends on the previous occupant? We also realised immediately that the aircon was not working on the Monday we arrived so reported it to Simon through Wattsapp, due to an Italian holiday on the Tuesday maintenance weren’t able to visit until the Wednesday and it was fixed on the Thursday, the day before we left. We will say that when it was working (we had it Thursday evening) the aircon was great so that would have made a huge difference to our experience if it was working from our initial arrival. Simon did give us a partial refund to compensate but to have had the aircon from the beginning would have been preferable.

Good location

− After checking in you’ll be greeted with a list of house rules waiting on the table. My dear pescatarians: house rules say you can not fry fish or spread fish smell, not sure how you spread the fish smell, anyway - don’t do it. If you dearly love nature and insects in particular, you might be upset by the numerous signs of mosquitoes' executions on the walls If, on the other hand, you would love to engage in a mosquito hunt, be aware that there is a lovely family in the building opposite, with the windows looking directly at your windows, and you’d never know when your activities are observed, because you won't have any curtains. Of course, you can close the shutters, but you’ll need night vision goggles in that case. I am sure you are visiting Venice not to sleep most of the time, and I am glad to tell you that you won't be sleeping much, anything more than wiggling your toes in bed produces a loud squeaking noise, so bring some earplugs, unless you are here for the 80s camp bed experience. Let’s go back to the house rules. You’ll be pleased to know that the kitchen cleaning is not included in your booking, but I guess there is some misunderstanding there, as the bathroom mould suggests. But maybe it is my bad Italian. And NB for everyone giving it 8+stars to this property here, I sincerely hope you will have a chance to stay in a private place next time, where proud locals will leave you their own bed, local tips and advice, mosquito nets and curtains, travel adaptors and a bottle of water in the fridge, this is how it usually is.

− Temizlik açısından benim için çok kötüydü venediğe 3.gidişim ve en hijyensiz olanı bence burası,klima nın kumandasına ve yatak odasındaki havalandırmaya dokunamadık bile :(( son olarak konaklamayı düşünen misafirlere lütfen dış ana kapının açılması için bir yönlendirme yok dışarıdan birisi binaya giriş yapması gerekiyor ki bizde girebilelim , Simon bey ile iletişime gectığımızde sürekli nasıl giriş yapılacağı sokak resimlerini atıyor ana kapının anahtarı evin içerisindeyken biz dış ana kapıyı nasıl açabiliriz giriş yapmadan bu durum çok sinir bozucuydu, sivrısinekleri unutmayalım klimaları açmadığımız camları açtığımızda çok zorlandık

A lovely apartment.

The apartment was spacious, clean and the location on the canal was scenic and easy to get to the main sites. It was quiet at night despite being close to the Piazza di San Marco.

− The kitchen was very small and the small kettle was all plastic without an automatic shutoff. No laundry detergent provided with washing machine. And inadequate soap for tub/ shower. Not enough outlets in the main living areas.
