Unlivable room w/almost no ventilation and a confrontational, rude, and unreasonable host.

The space is very clean and is as pictured in the listing.

− This was a truly awful experience. The room was extremely hot and stuffy -- and had almost zero ventilation in the middle of a heat wave. The room is west-facing, and was about 31-32 degrees (C) in the evening. My 1st night (of what would have been a 4-night stay), the homeowner was kind enough to let me use her Dyson fan. Two of three small windows can open, but only ~25% of the way. (The 3rd window doesn't open at all.) The 1st night, the homeowner injured herself when pushing the mechanism to open the windows fully. With the 2 windows fully opened & the Dyson fan running, the room was relatively comfortable to sleep. However, she informed me the next day (after 4:00PM) that I could no longer use the Dyson fan because she needed it for her own room. I attempted to explain that I simply wouldn't be able to sleep without any airflow. I was truly shocked at how little she seemed to care. She accused me of blaming her for the heat wave. But all I was trying to do was to ensure I could get some sleep over the next few nights, as I had a professional conference to attend over the next two days. Furthermore, she closed the windows when I was out that evening, apparently thinking that would improve the temp. She never showed me how to operate the mechanism to open the 2 windows so that I could -- at the very least -- have some open windows (albeit w/o any airflow, and albeit at risk of pinching my finger as she herself had done). I vacated the house on the 2nd night and moved to a hotel at my own expense. I am now pursuing a refund for the 3 unused nights. I certainly don't blame anyone for the unusual heat wave in London. But if she's going to treat her guests this way -- and if she doesn't even know how to open the windows -- she should not be in the hospitality business. Also, there are plumbing issues in the shower. The water heater works well, but is very difficult to control, oscillating between cold & very hot.

It’s the cleanest and most organized Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in, with a modern and stylish design that creates a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Every detail in her home reflects her impeccable taste and attention to detail. The amenities were top-notch, and it was clear that Jackie has put a lot of thought into creating a space that feels like a home away from home. The location is ideal, just a five-minute walk to the train station, which made exploring London so convenient, especially for us as first-time visitors. On top of that, the neighborhood is incredibly safe and peaceful, which added to the overall sense of comfort during our stay. Jackie is truly one of a kind—a host who genuinely cares about her guests and goes above and beyond to make their stay unforgettable. I cannot recommend her and her lovely home enough.
