− - Host negative attitudes toward children and family. - The host claimed in the property description that Wi-Fi is accessible around the apartment. It proved to be false. The Wi-Fi was accessible only a couple of meters from the router point. - Only on the 3rd night of our stay, at 8 p.m., the neighbour below came and complained that the child was walking and disturbing us. We called the host and told them we could not stop the 5-year-old child from walking at 8 p.m. He needed to speak with his long-term tenant and that we had the right to walk and talk in the rented flat. However, the host insisted we control the baby and not walk even before the quiet time policy. Later, he was admitted to a legal battle in court to remove a tenant who had rented his property for a long period. - At the back of the property, the burned building makes it scary for children to look and sleep. - Kitchen equipment is very old and fragile. In particular, the dishes are not even acceptable for charitable causes. - The bathroom has no extractor fan or ventilation. It is always smelly and overheated. - The floors are furnished with wood. The entire apartment smells because of the floor, wood decay, and moisture. - We raised all the above concerns with the host through a Turkish-language interpreter, but he refused to consider them. During our discussion, we realised that the host was under the influence of alcohol. To avoid further problems, the interpreter on the phone asked him to leave the apartment, but he still refused to leave the building and continued to stay without our consent until we warned him that we would raise complaints against him to the local authority. After these disputes and the threatening behaviour of the host, my children did not feel secure until we left the property. -More than 12 hours before checkout, we informed the host that he should be on time to collect the keys and inspect the apartment before our departure. He did not attend the checkout.
