Exquisite 1-bedroom flat in North Kensington

Good trip but not without issues.

Lovely apartment in a good location, easy access to public transport. Short walk to Portobello Road market with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

− We were without hot water for the first two days of our stay which was far from ideal. Owners were in touch but took two attempts to resolve the problem.

Modern flat, lots of space, comfortable bed, and perfect location (10min walking to direct metro to the city center, portobello road with some great restaurant and brunch places). Detailed instructions (and quick reply when questions) from the owner, with easy key pick-up in a shop 2min walking from the underground and supermarket (while 10min walking from the flat)

− It was not an issue since we stayed only for 3 nights, and because the matras itself was super comfi, but for a longer stay I might take my own pillow

− Stain on bed sheets, blocked drain in shower, stain on cushion of seat on balcony, small touches not up to standard. So I wouldn't say worth the money. Also awkward getting to key pick up, 10mins walk away.

A beautiful flat. So lovely and comfortable and w very nice place to come back to after long working days. The staff were very helpful and replied to queries very quickly. The apartment is quite ‘high tech’ and it takes a little while to work out the light switches and heating etc - some clearer instructions may be helpful, but it didn’t take long to work out. Nice balcony, would be lovely in the summer. I was there in January and it rained pretty much all the time so I didn’t get to make use of it, but it is lovely! I would definitely stay again.

− Key collection from a shop is a little bit of a pain, as it’s about a 10 minute walk - fine if coming by tube but I had to get my taxi to stop so I could run in and collect the keys and then continue on (as I had a big suitcase). There’s some fairly extensive building works going on opposite and they do start arriving from 7am, which you can hear in the bedroom, but ear plugs blotted most of it out. It looks like it’s getting near to completion now, so shouldn’t be a problem much longer - they do continue with the building works on a Saturday too. It didn’t bother me as I was working every day except Sunday, but might be worth considering if you like a quiet weekend!
